Tiger Barb Tank Requirement

Food’s & Breeding

Feeding is not hard because this is omnivorous fish species.you can use Flake food and Tablet Pellet as a their normal diet. Their live around 7 year’s and after two or three month’s they become a sexually mature. Their Breeding is not hard , moderately easy to breed. First you want to Choose strong colored pair for breeding. They are egg layers that spread out their adhesive eggs. You can use 25 gallon breeding tank for their spawning process. Sponge filter, heater, and plants are used for your breeding tank. You want to use marble substrate for save from harm their egg’s. Slightly acidic water condition best for breeding tank. Also set 75 to 79° F water temperature and medium hardness level.
First introduce female in tank and use brine shrimp or any other live food. After two or three days introduce male to breeding tank. Normally spawn begin morning and around 300 egg’s release in their spawning process. But some time it’s going 600 to 700 eggs range.

After spawning you must want to remove both male and female fish. That not like a Betta fish Breeding no? After 2 day’s eggs will hatch and after 5 days the fry will start free-swimming. Next you want to start feeding. you can use liquid fry food , baby brine or infusoria as a fry diet. Feed three time’s per day but never overfed if you overfed water can quickly unclean and it’s danger for your new-born fry.
