Peacock Bass Fish origin place is the South American Amazon River. Bass fish is relatively large fish. if you want to add Peacock bass in your home aquarium you want relatively large tank. Minimum 100 Gallon Tank required but 300 Gallon or upper tank best for their home. They requires a large space to accommodate their territorial and aggressive nature.They have no more active swimming style but there swimming style is best for your Mind relaxation. Peacock Bass Fish Tank Requirements

Peacock Bass require large space to swim. Moderate water movement and strong water filtration best for that fish. Use layer of gravel and sand for their fish tank. Also put Wood and rocks , that’s good for fish tank design and their spawning process. They like normal lighting condition and moderate water movement’s. Fast growing Bass Fish grow around 60 cm. 75 to 81 F water temperature and 6.5 to 7.5 PH range best for their aquarium. 5 to 12 dGH Water hardness range is the best water Hardness range for that fish.

Fish Food’s And Tank Mate’s

Their have a big mouth and aggressive appetite. They attempt to eat everything fit to their mouth. Also they eat small fish , insect and other meaty thing match to their size. Basically you want to provide meaty fish food’s for Peacock Bass. They prefer live food ( fishes, shrimps, worms ). But you can use pellets or Flake fish food’s.They require Several feedings per day.

Their tank Mate selection is not so easy because of that is the one of aggressive fish. Oscar Fish is the manageable tank mate for them. Because of Oscar Fish have same nature. But Recommend to Single species tank For Bass Fish. They live around ten year’s but they not a best option for your home aquarium because they require relatively large fish tank and frequent Water change.
