Brain corals: The Brain Coral grows very slowly.
Fan corals: Fan coral is tall and has little branches coming out of it and they have rounded tops. They come in different colors.
Star corals: Star coral looks a lot like a bump that has a lot of lines throught it, and it has a little ditch in the middle.
Staghorn corals: Staghorn Coral lives in quiet water. It grows five to six inches every year. It provides shelter for the rest of the coral reefs. Staghorn Coral looks a lot like antlers.
Elkhorn corals: Elkhorn Coral is the largest and most common coral. It is found on the outer ridge of coral reefs. Elkhorn Coral protects small fragile coral ,and it is massive. It protects coral by blocking the huge waves.
